Slender twining herb to 3m, strongly urticating. Puberulent stems with hairs to 4mm long. 3-lobed leaves to 12mm x 10mm, glabrescent or hispid on margins. Racemes of 15-30 flowers, to 330mm long. Staminate flowers with bracts to 3.5mm x 0.8mm with hispid margins, 6 tepals to 3mm x 1.1mm. Pistillate flowers with bracts to 3mm x 1.7mm with strigulose margins & a trilobed apex, 6 tepals to 9mm x 4mm. Trilobed hispid capsule to 7mm x 13mm.
