Evergreen woody climber-creeper, large armed,solitary or twin recurved prickles, straggling sometime climbing shrub, shrub or small tree. Serrulated leaves yellow-downy beneath to 150mm x 80mm. Tomentose terminal or axillary panicles, corymbs or racemes of densely pubescent green flowers, no petals. Fruit a black hairy drupe 12mm x 10mm becoming glabrescent, white when ripe.
