Glabrous liana, shrub, subshrub or tree to 9m. Bi-pinnate leaves with one pair of pinnae, leaflets to 200mm x 80mm. White flowers tinged red in lax terminal panicles with bracts to 0.75mm, 5-dentate calyx to 1.5mm long, greenish-white corolla to 4.5mm long. Coriaceous purple fruits to 200mm x 10mm
