Scandent shrub or tree to 15m with puberulent lenticellate branchlets when young & spines. Coriaceous pinnate glabrous leaves to 300mm long with 2-6 pairs of leaflets to 150mm x 70mm. Terminal panicles or corymbs to 150mm long & nearly as broad with small bracts, coriaceous calyx lobes 0.5mm long, 3 sepals, 3 white petals. Brown follicle to 7mm x 4mm
