Sometimes scandent shrub or subshrub with glabrous or hairy stems to 1.7m. Pilose leaves to 105mm x 35mm with crenate-serrulate margins. Terminal inflorescence, 12 reddish ray flowers to 14mm long, about 50 disc flowers to 6.5mm long. Achenes to 3mm x 1.5mm.
