Fruiting Times
Grey-pubescent erect, slightly scandent shrub or woody liana to 28m with fissured stems, tetragonal glabrescent tuberculate branches. Glabrescent leaves to 140mm x 80mm. Axillary or super-axillary cymes to9 100mm long of 3-7 fragrant white or greenish-yellow flowers to 95mm x 70mm marked purple-red with purple stamens, bractlets to 3mm long, green 5-toothed calyx to 4mm long, becoming up to 10mm long in fruit, white or purple-tinted glabous corolla, corolla tube to 30mm long x 15mm, 5 lobes 10mm long. 15mm x 8mm grey-yellow drupe with persistent calyx, separating into 4 corky pyrenes.
