Woody glabrous tendril liana with bifurcate tendrils, ridged branchlets & 3-lobed truncataserrated leaves to 100mm x 80mm, toothed & villous on veins beneath and with axillary tufts of hairs or glabrous. Leaf-opposed glabrescent panicles, thyrses or racemes to 120mm of yellowish flowers, 5 petals. Fruit a black tinged blue-black berry to 10mm diameter.
