High climbing slender perennial almost glabrous vine. Leaves to 50mm x 25mm. Extra-axillary or rarely terminal panicles or cymes to 80mm long of violet or red flowers, hairy calyx segments 1mm long, corolla with 5 lobes 2mm x 1mm. Paired follicles to 80mm long.
