Twining or trailing glabrous or sub-glabrous perennial creeping or prostrate pubescent herb to 4.5m with large tuberous root. Trifoliolate glabrous pinnate mucronate leaves, central leaflet to 80mm long, glabrous both surfaces or glabrous above, sparsely pubescent beneath. Axillary pseudo-racemes of 12-20 flowers with small bracteoles, to 400mm of yellow to greenish 26mm flowers sometimes tinged red, standard, wings & keel 20mm long, glabrous calyx to 6mm, yellow-green corolla to 20mm, standard glabrous on back with notched blade to 20mm x 20mm. Slightly curved pubescent or glabrescent pod to 100mm long x 7mm, brown turning black.
