Scandent shrub. Glabrous leaves to 200mm x 70mm. 2-flowered lateral fascicles with tomentous bracts, striate sepals to 10mm x 11mm, 6 orange petals to 30mm x 30mm with wine-red marking. Fruit to 5mm long.
