Large woody climber, twigs with brown stellate hairs. Leaves to 250mm x 130mm, hairy above & densely hairy beneath. Supra-axillary inflorescence with2-4 flowers, densely hairy basal bracts & brown hairy medial bracts to 5.5mm x 8mm, sepals 5mm x 7mm hairy outside, hairy red petals 8mm x 8mm. Densely brown hairy fruit 20mm x 16mm with longitudinal ridges
