Tall woody climber to 50m with rusty-tomentose glabrescent striate young twigs. Coriaceous leaves to 250mm x 100mm glabrous above & tomentose beneath. Terminal many-flowered panicles of yellow flowers with a tomentose bract each, basal bracts 8mm long, medial bracts to 4mm long, coriaceous brown tomentose sepals 4mm x 5mm, yellow fleshy petals, outer petals to 20mm long, triangular inner petals 7mm long. Brown tomentose fruit to 20mm long
