Climbing shrub to 3.5m with 6-ribbed pilose stems. Trifoliolate leaves, leaflets 1-2 lobed to 58mm x 33mm, sparsely bristly. Axillary thyrses, pilose & 4-angled, with reddish-tingedbracts & bracteoles to 1.5mm long pilose at margin. Pistillate flowers slightly larger than staminate ones, 5 glabrous green sepals, 2 outer sepals to 1.5mm x 1.9mm, inner sepals to 5mm x 2.6mm, white petals to 3.2mm long with hood-shaped appendages on ventral petals. Trigonous capsule to 16mm x 22mm, pilose & slightly inflated,
