Large slender liana or creeper, quadrangular glabrous stems, glabrous coriaceous leaves to 90mm x 50mm, axillary & terminal solitary inflorescence to 25mm across, white flowers, 5 villous sepals 1mm x 0.75mm, tomentose calyx tube 2mm x 1mm with glabrous lobes, pubescent corolla to 15mm long, 5 pubescent petals 1.5mm x 1mm, corolla tube pubescent 5mm long, yellow coriaceous capsule 13mm x 2.5mm with persistent sepals, peduncles become spines
