Large woody liana with lenticellate stems, trifid tendrils, strong clove scent to crushed leaves & cut stems. 2-3 foliolate leaves with a tendril. terminal & axillary panicles to 70mm long of fragrant white or yellow flowers to 15mm with three 8mm lobes. Greenish-yellow capsule.
