Pubescent woody liana with glabrous branchlets strated longitudinally with scattered lenticels, reddish or dull yellow indumentum, leaves glabrous above strigose beneath to 140mm x 95mm, axillary racemes with bracteoles to 1.5mm long, 30mm diameter blue-violet, pale blue to white flowers, calyx teeth to 1mm long, calyx lobes to 75mm x 20mm, 10mm tube, corolla 15mm. Dark brown pilose beaked fruit 18mm long x 8mm.
