Robust brownish-villous herbaceous 4-9 branched tendril vine with 20mm brownish solitary flowers, white petals, male racemes to 300mm, male petals to 20mm long, villous calyx 25mm x 10mm with lobes to 15mm long x 3mm, corolla tomentose outside, female flowers solitary axillary to 80mm long, calyx lobes 15mm, brown-red fruit or green longitudinally white banded glabrous to 80mm x 130mm, tricuspidate or pentagonal villous leaves to 160mm diameter, finely villous above, densely villous beneath
