Extensive herbaceous pubescent annual simple, bifid or trifid tendril vine or creeper with grooved white-puberulent stems becoming glabrescent, white-pubescent deeply palmate 3 to 7-lobed mucronate leaves with denticulate or serrate margins, 200mm x 145mm glabrous or villous above, rough beneath with serrate-denticulate margins. 60mm white flowers fringed with curling hairs, male axillary raceme to 250 mm long with bracts 8mm long or solitary flowers 60mm long, calyx with puberulous tube to 20mm long & lobes to 8mm long, 5 male petals to 20mm long, puberulous fimbriate corolla lobes 8mm long, female flowers axillary solitary to 10mm long. Fruit narrow globose or oblong, smooth 100mm long x 80mm pubescent orange-red beaked with 10 longitudinal bands.
