Hairy twining vine with coarsely dentate or serrate leaves to 120mm long. Green flowers with stinging hairs, axillary racemes to 40mm long, staminate flowers 1.2mm long, no petals& 3 sepals & 3 stamens, pistillate flowers have 5 sepals. Capsule with stinging pubescence to 16mm diameter
