Fruiting Times
Annual herbaceous branched-tendril succulent vine with coarsely serrate. Sometime lobed leaves, terminal leaflet to 50mm x 15mm. Terminal racemes with scarlet bracts, tubular scarlet red or dusky violet flowers, calyx to 10mm long. Fruit an ovoid capsule to 50mm long, 17mm wide, with large hooked spines to 15mm long
