Scandent glabrous shrub, sometimes a liane or tree, angular hispid or glabate branches. Puberulent leaves to 200mm x 80mm. Inflorescences terminal or internodal spikes or cymes to 80mm long, white flowers, lobed calyx to 1.5mm long, flower tube 13mm long, greenish or yellowish-white corolla downy outside with tube to 15mm long & lobes to 6mm. Fruit ovoid glabrous berry, white, to 6mm diameter
