Slender herbaceous twiner or scandent shrub with hairy stems, mucronate subcoriaceous sagittate leaves villous on nerves to 140mm x 50mm, axillary hirsute cymes, racemes or panicles with bracts 2mm long, of 2mm whitish flowers, 6 glabrous sepals 2mm long, 6 fleshy petals 2mm long, fruit a glabrescent red drupe to 11mm x 8mm
