Glabrous, woody deciduous vine to 15m, with long aerial roots, stems becoming prominently tuberculate, glabrous leaves to 250mm x 240mm. Cauliflorous glabrous male inflorescence, pseudo-racemes to 200mm long, of 2.5mm green flowers, pale green sepals outer ones to 1.5mm long, inner ones to 4mm long, 6 petals to 2mm long, female inflorescence to 60mm long, 30mm x 15mm orange-red drupe with conspicuous dorsal ridge, warty stems. Climbing shrub, glabrous leaves, axillary panicles. Twining shrub, coriaceus leaves, axillary racemes or panicles
