Large perennial evergreen robust woody liana to 30m, with striate glabrous stems, stems red-tomentose when young, leaves to 290mm x 200mm, glabrous above, glabrous or puberulous beneath. Racemes to 350mm of cauliflorous fragrant flowers, 3.5mm male flowers with 6 white to yellow sepals to 5mm long, 6 glabrous petals to 3.5mm long, female flowers with sepals and petals as in male, 40mm x 20mm glabrous fruits ripening yellow or orange
Medicinal uses, fruits used as fish poison
