Herbaceous or semi-woody tomentose tendril liana with 4-7 branched tendrils, ridged branchlets & palmate 5-foliolate leaves, leaflets pilose above and rufo-tomentose beneath. Terminal umbels of greenish or purple flower, petals to 2.7mm, fruit a berry to 10mm diameter pale yellow with persistent stigma at apex
