Large woody dioecious liana with ridged branchlets & pubescent stems. Simple tendrils. Divided 5-foliolate leavesglabrous leaflets, terminal leaflet to 155mm x 60mm with serrate margin, lateral leaflets to 130mm x 60mm. Axillary dichasium, female flowers with 4-lobed calyx, yellow petals to 3mm x 1.5mm, pubescent outside. Fruit a berry to 13mm diameter.
