Tall woody tendril liana with simple tendrils, ridged glabrous branchlets. Trifoliolate glabrous dentate mucronate leaves, red on nerves. Axillary umbel, corymb or cyme 40mm x 40m of greenish-red flowers, villous calyx, glabrous corolla, 4 glabrous petals to 1.8mm. Tawny red fruit a berry to 15mm long x 10mm.
