Liana or shrub with glabrous lenticellate striate branches twining to 10m. Mostly glabrous leaves to 120mm x 50mm. Few-flowered axillary & terminal racemes with pubescent bracts to 1.5mm long & bracteoles to 1.5mm long, of yellow flowers with 2 bractlets to 2.5mm long, green calyx to 5mm wide, pilose sepals to 3mm long, denticulate yellow or red petals to 6mm x 2.5mm. Glabrous or pubescent samaras to 5mm x 6mm x 2mm with 3mm wings.Pubescent samaras to 30mm long maturing brown.
