Scandent more or less hairy shrub or liana with scabrous branches, terminal panicles with bracts to 6mm, of sweet-scented white flowers 12mm diameter, nearly glabrous sepals to 10mm long, fruit to 8mm long, 6mm wide, rough-surfaced leaves & stems, glabrous leaves to 75mm long x 40mm or often with scattered hairs above, appressed hairs beneath
Sap like water & potable, leaves used for poishing wood.
