Liana with flaking brown bark, glabrescent branchlets. Coriaceous leaves to 220mm x 130mm, scabrous sparsely pilose above & mostly glabrescent bebeath. Axillary or terminal thyrses to 20mm long with pubescent bracteoles, of 12mm long flowers, 11-14 silky sepals, outer sepals to 10mm long, inner sepals to 12mm long, 4 glabrous petals to 12mm long. Divergent follicles to 15mm long, hispid at apex with persistent style.
