Slender annual twiner with brown pilose stems. Trifoliate coriaceous leaves glabrescent above, grey-hairy beneath, terminal leaflet to 75mm x 20mm. White to pale red or maroon flowers, pale reddish corolla to 5mm long, brown-velvety toothed calyx to 4mm long, with densely brown-velvety stems, in flowering axillary racemes to 500mm long, fruit green with brown pubescence
