Twining shrub or tree with striate bark. Leaves to 80mm x 40mm, glabrous above & pubescent on nerves beneath. 3mm long scented flowers cream with red streaks within with whitish puberulent bracts & bractlets, whitish puberulent calyx, bilabiate corolla.
