Prostrate or scrambling herb with angular stems tinged red. Leaves with 9 to 17 hairy leaflets to 30mm x 16mm. Red (usually), pink, yellow or almost white flowers in clusters of 2-6, up to 90mm long, hairy calyx to 23mm long, standard 70mm long with wings to 8.5mm long, keel to 50mm long. Hairy follicle to 70mm x 12mm.
