Tree or shrub, sometimes climbing, glabrous or tomentose branchlets, glabrous coriaceous leaves or tomentose both sides to 100mm x 90mm or shiny above pilose on ribs beneath, terminal or lateral many-flowered cymes or racemes with bracts 3mm long, calyx 4mm long, 5 sepals 6mm long, greenish corolla hairy outside 4mm long with 5 lobes, fruit with greenish-yellow blotches 125mm diameter, armed with slightly recurved spines
