Sometimes scandent shrub or woody vine, lenticellate branches with recurved spines & tendrils rarely bifid, , piuberulent branchlets. Mostly glabrous leaves to 150mm x 40mm. Paniculate many-flowered cymes with glabrous bracts, scented creamy-green flowers, calyx lobes 1mm long, corolla tube to 1.4mm, corolla lobes to 1.7mm densely lanate within. Glabrous thick-shelled fruit to 55mm diameter.
