Tall simple hooked downy-tendril liane, glabrous scandent shrub or small tree with spines, pubescent twigs. Coriaceous glabrous or glabrescent leaves to 180mm x 90m, pubescent ion nrves beneath. Axillary or terminal pubescent cymes or fascicles 25mm long of 4mm green & white flowers, calyx to 2mm with glabrous or tomentose triangular sepals, white or yellowish-green corolla to 4mm long with 1.2mm hairy lobes. Orange oval berries to 30mm x 20mm.
