Large glabrous thorny simple tendril liane with glabrescent branchlets, or erect shrub. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 120mm x 70mm. Terminal thryses to 40mm of 5mm white flowers, calyx puberulous outside, glabrous inside, sepals to 1.5mm long, 10mm long corolla woolly inside. Orange berries to 40mm diameter.
