Deciduous samentose woody twining liana, branches with white lenticels, leaves 85mm x 55mm tomentose both surfaces bencoming glabrescent, with terminal cymes with bracts to 6mm long of up to 12 flowers, scented flowers white, red-streaked inside with yellowish tails up to 200mm long, tomentose calyx 14mm long, yellowish-white corolla pubescent without, tube 24mm long, lobes with tail to 125mm long, paired glabrescent dull green fruits 470mm long x 26mm diameter divergent to 180ยบ with light brown pores, silky hairs
