Hairy sarmentose deciduous tall liane or shrub, branches & branchlets densely hispid, leaves 150mm x 85mm glabrescent above, with terminal corymbs,cymes or fascicles with hispid bracts to 20mm long to 72 flowers, 22mm long white aging orange or yellow flowers puberulous outside, suffused red near base outside, red or purple spotted inside, tube to 22mm, lobes with tails to 225mm, divergent dark brown glabrescent follicles to 260ยบ 543mm x 18mm diameter dotted with lenticels
