Glabrous sarmentose decidous liana or shrub with lenticellate branches, leaves 75mm x 40mm tomentose both surfaces, terminal cymes with bracts to 4mm long to 12 flowers, tomentose calyx 6mm long, corolla bright purple & puberulous outside limb orange inside, orange-yellow flowers aging dark purple-red streaked white inside, corolla tube to 65mm with lobes with bright yellow tails to 50mm long , woody follicles
