Liana or climbing shrub with simple tendrils, tomentous striated branches becoming glabrate. Galbrate leaflets with hairs on veins beneath to 150mm x 100mm, downy petiole. White to cream flowers to 50mm long, 130mm wide at mouth in axillary & terminal racemes or panicles 70mm long, with slight sweet odour, villous flower bracts to 15mm lon, corolla downy outside to 50mm long with limb to 15mm wide, tomentose calyx. Fruit a capsule to 600mm x 6mm.
