Slender glabrous bulbous twiner to 2m with tuberous roots, leaves to 140mm x 55mm. Inflorescence with bracts to 2mm long, flower black or brown with red patches, tepals to 10mm x 2mm, fruit a small capsule to 15mm x 10mm
