Glabrous evergreen woody twiner with striate stems, trifoliolate leaves, leaflets to 80mm x 20mm. Axillary bracteate racemes of scented flowers. Male flowers purple to white 12mm, female flowers 15mm white with a purplish flush, fruit purple to 60mm long x 30mm
