Woody vine or lax shrub to 6m. Leaves to 120mm x 50mm, glabrous above & hairy beneath. Terminal inflorescence to 150mm long with 50-100 flowers, calyx tube to 1.5mm with lobes to 2mm, lilac corolla to 30mm diameter with lobes to 10mm x 7mm. Black berry to 15mm diameter with persistent calyx lobes.
