Tomentose terminal racemes to 60mm x 140mm, of 20-40 white or purple flowers clothed with brownish-yellow tomentum as are calyx, pedicels, & stems, 5-lobed calyx to 4mm x 8mm, corolla tomentose without to 20mm diameter, lobes 9mm x 4mm. Dark orange to black fruits. Vine with tomentose angular slightly winged stems, hairy leaves woolly beneath, terminal racemes or panicles
