Tendril-climbing herb without prickles or sparingly armed. Leaves sometimes 2-lobed at base & bristly-toothed at margins. Flowers dark green to 2.5mm, sepals & petals on staminate flowers to 5mm long, shorter on pistillate flowers. Fruit black to 8mm diameter
