Woody high-climbing tendril vine or liana with unarmed stems or sparse recurved thorns. Mucronate leaves to 135mm x 62mm with tendrils. Umbels with bracteoles to 1mm long, up to 40 flowers, white or green male flowers, sepals to 2.5mm long, female inflorescence similar, sepals to 2.8mm. Blue-black fruits 6mm diameter
