Twining large glabrous vine with prickly stems, spiny foliage. Lobed leaves to 90mm x 70mm with minutely spiny margins, paired tendrils. Axillary umbels of white fragrant flowers, male flowers to 5mm, female flowers smaller, 8mm yellow-green fragrant flowers. Red-purple berries to 8mm diameter.
