Scandent twining shrub with pilose branches. Denticulate leaves to 140mm x 60mm, glabrous above & pubescent beneath. Axillary racemes with bracts to 30mm long, purple flowers, paler inside, sepals 6mm long, bright purple hairy corolla 60mm long with lobes 17mm long.
