Vine or scandent shrub, sometimes epiphytic, with angular scabrous stems, glabrescent foliage, coriaceous glabrous mucronulate leaves to 60mm x 30mm. Terminal many-flowered racemes of red-pink flowers, calyx lobes to 3mm long, red corolla tube 5mm wide x 30mm long hairy outside, lobes to 10mm long
